Secondary Mathematics (Year 7–10A)

Mathematics in Years 7 to 10A is all about building strong foundations that prepare you for success in VCE and beyond. Tutoring at this level focuses on making sure you understand key concepts clearly, practise applying them in different situations, and develop the problem-solving skills needed for higher levels of maths.

Our program covers the full range of topics, including number, algebra, geometry, measurement, statistics, probability, and for advanced students in Year 10A, extension work in functions, polynomials, and other areas that lead into Mathematical Methods and Specialist Mathematics. Lessons are designed to match your schoolwork while also filling any gaps in understanding and extending you when you’re ready.

You’ll receive detailed study notes for each topic, with clear explanations, worked examples, and key formulae. These notes are designed to support your learning in class and to give you a reliable resource for revision at home.

To strengthen your skills, tutoring provides a wide variety of practice problems, ranging from basic questions to more challenging exam-style tasks. The goal is to give you lots of opportunities to practise until you feel confident and capable with every topic.

Each week, you’ll also complete weekly revision questions to keep past topics fresh in your mind and to make sure you don’t forget what you’ve already learned. This ongoing review builds long-term understanding and helps you feel ready for tests and exams at school.

By combining clear notes, plenty of practice, and regular revision, our Year 7 to 10A Maths tutoring gives you the tools you need to succeed. You’ll gain confidence, improve your results, and be well prepared for the challenges of VCE Mathematics.
